The temperatures are starting to drop, the skies are getting darker and gloomier; these are all signs that say “Winter is upon us!” For me, winter forces me to change the way I dress. No longer will I be able to wear just tank tops and shorts (which are the main components of my “go-to” summer outfits). I’m not complaining of course; winter allows for many people, including myself, to step away from our usual outfits and to reach out to more weather appropriate pieces.
I have to be honest though; sometimes, I find it extremely tough to assemble a winter outfit. I don’t know if it’s the process of layering or the lack of creativity, but I’m always stumped on how to create an outfit that fits the weather and myself. This year, I decided to seek some inspiration from of one the most famous South Korean KPOP girl groups – Girls’ Generation (aka SNSD)!
To keep this post short and concise, I posted some my favorite SNSD winter airport outfits down below. Keep in mind that weather is different everywhere; a lot of these outfits might not be suitable for the weather conditions in your area. However, you can alter these outfits to fit your circumstances!
Remember, these outfits are sources of inspiration, so it’s definitely up to your interpretation! Mix the outfits up, switch them around, and add in your own twist; just make it you.

I love how Yuri layered with monochromatic tones. The leather jacket over the plaid flannel gives a casual yet chic look.
Another combination of Yuri’s layering, but this time, she wears a chambray shirt rather than a plaid flannel.
Seohyun, Hyoyeon, Jessica
All three outfits are great. Seohyun and Hyoyeon’s oversized outerwear plays a nice contrast to the fitted clothes they have underneath. Jessica’s navy blue jacket looks really good with the white top.
Sooyoung’s layering with a knit button-down sweater and a plaid flannel creates a warm and comfy look.
Sooyoung’s trench coat is just fabulous.
Leather motorcycle jacket + knit cardigan + graphic tee + black pants = fab.
Her oversized coat is looks great with the forest green sweater she has underneath.
Yes, wearing dresses/skirts in the winter is possible. I love how Tiffany throws the coat over a skirt. The gray and black allows the red in her shoes and shirt to stand out.
The oversized coat over a blouse and dark pants is a good combo. Plus, Tiffany’s bag provides a nice pop of color.
This outfit screams comfort. The slouchy knit sweater plays a nice contrast to the polished outfit underneath.
A lot of people (like my mom) don’t like the pink jacket, but I really do; it looks so warm. I think Tiffany paired it nicely with her LV bag and blue jeans.
Yoona looks fantastic and warm with her black circle scarf and her brown leather motorcycle jacket.
The monochromatic outfit looks incredibly chic. The leather pants definitely is unique and draws attention.
Jessica successfully pulls a great outfit together (like she always does) by playing around with neutral colors.
I just love this coat. The A-line silhouette of the coat and the black pants make this outfit look fantastic.
The slouchy cardigan and the leggings make this outfit look effortless yet good.
I think this outfit looks super adorable! The leopard printed scarf and the pink bag add a hint of playfulness to the outfit
Another chic, monochromatic outfit. The leather pants and the ruffled blouse are definitely statement pieces; the classic Chanel flap bag makes the outfit, well, classy.
Another monochromatic look. I just love her thick scarf and stunning shades!
Omg, I just love this; it’s the epitome of the perfect preppy outfit due to the preppy element given by the white knitted sweater over a chambray collared shirt. The jeans and sneakers add to that preppy element as well.
Shorts are possible in the winter. Just throw on a pair of tights and a coat like Yoona! In colder scenarios, invest in a thicker pair of tights!
Another preppy ensemble with a gray knitted sweater over a black collared shirt/blouse.
The printed cardigan and jeans make this outfit look effortless.
Nicely paired; a black coat with a classic white dress.
The white knitted top looks good with the plain black pants. I would definitely throw on a jacket to finish off the look!
I think Hyoyeon’s oversized coat is really different, but unique. I love how she pairs it with the knitted scarf.
I LOVE Taeyeon’s pullover! It’s absolutely perfect for winter and it just brings a comfy feeling to the entire ensemble. I think pullovers are essential for winter. 🙂
I just love the oversized jacket paired with the slouchy pullover and the tightly fitted pants.
Jessica definitely knows how to play with her neutral pieces. This outfit looks elegant, warm, and comfortable. I love it.
